iPad Meeting Room Display
In today’s open offices meeting rooms serve a critical function. Conference room management systems such as Robin and Teem provide a way to book meeting rooms, show schedules and track daily activity using iPhone and iPad. These meeting room booking systems often employ an iPad meeting room display at the door of the conference room.
Use Ethernet to Deliver Both Data and Power to an iPad Meeting Room Display
Until now it has been challenging to connect iPad to ethernet. The new iPad ethernet adapters from Redpark solve this problem.
Redpark’s Gigabit + PoE Adapter connects iPad to ethernet and uses power over ethernet (PoE) to charge the iPad. This small (3.25″ x 1.75″ x 1″) adapter can be located in an iPad conference room mount — allowing both power and data to be delivered to the iPad over a single ethernet cable at distances up to 300 ft. This avoids Wi-Fi reliability issues and also eliminates the expense that would have been required to run an electrical line to the location of the iPad.
Using iPad during meetings inside a conference room? Perhaps the AC powered version of Redpark’s iPad ethernet adapter can help. The Gigabit + Power Adapter connects iPad to ethernet and also charges the iPad using an external AC adapter.
Both of these ethernet adapters:
- can be used by any iOS app
- connect to 10/100/1000 ethernet networks
- provide throughput up to 225 Mbps
- charge all Lightning iPads and iPhones
- are licensed under Apple’s “Made for iPhone” (MFi) program
