If your Redpark cable is not working properly try these troubleshooting steps below.
Power your iPhone OFF and then ON again. (Do not simply put the iPhone to sleep. Power it completely OFF and then ON.)
If the problem continues to exist…
Confirm that your iPhone/iPad detects the cable:
If the iPhone IS detecting the cable:
Use the Settings app to check the configuration of the ethernet connection.

Using the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Once the Adapter is connected to an iPad or iPhone, “Ethernet” will appear in the Settings app in between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Both DHCP and Static IP addresses are supported.
The network connection is available to be used by any iOS app. Please note that the FaceTime, Messages and Wi-Fi Calling apps do not currently support ethernet.
The USB-C Ethernet Cable is a specialty form of USB 2 to Ethernet Adapter. It will provide bandwidth of roughly 300+ Mbps when connected to Gigabit ethernet.

Yes. Use an RJ45 coupler to attach a Cat5E (Cat6, etc.) ethernet cable to the end of the C5-NET.

Redpark focuses on the iPhone/iPad market. We have not conducted formal testing with a Mac or Windows PC. In limited experimentation we observed that the cable worked OK with a Mac or Windows PC. We have not looked at using the cable with Android tablets.
