Redpark ships Ethernet Cable for iPad and iPhone

Redpark Product Development announced today that it is now shipping the industry’s first Ethernet Cable for iPad and iPhone. Lightning to Ethernet cableThe Redpark Ethernet Cable is a specialty version of USB to Ethernet adapter. It provides a general purpose ethernet connection — however throughput is limited to 5 Mbps and only apps which use Redpark’s RedSocket SDK are able to communicate with the cable. “We’ve designed the Ethernet Cable for use in field service applications”, noted Redpark president Mike Ridenhour. “It enables field technicians to use Ethernet to connect an iPad or iPhone to equipment in the field in order to configure or troubleshoot the equipment.” “iPad and iPhone are rapidly replacing laptops for use in field service applications,” explained Ridenhour. “Our serial cables for iPad and iPhone have been very well received in this market. Lightning Serial+Power Cable for iOS Ships

Many customers have told us that they need to connect their iPad or iPhone to a serial device for long periods of time. This makes it challenging to keep the iOS device charged.

Our new Serial+Power Cable (L4-DB9PV) addresses that challenge.  It provides a simple and reliable way to connect an iOS device to power and to a serial device at the same time.

This new cable is designed for use with all iOS devices that have a Lightning connector.  A 5V (20W) power adapter is included with each Serial+Power Cable.

The Serial+Power Cable is compatible with apps that have been built with our RSC MGR SDK.

We are now shipping Lightning versions of our Serial Cable and Console Cable.

The cables are designed for use with the iPad (4th gen), iPad mini, iPhone 5 and iPod touch (6th gen).

The Serial Cable (L2-DB9V) is compatible with apps that have been built with our RSC MGR SDK. There is no need to revise apps that you have developed and are now using with our 30-pin cables.

The Console Cable (L2-RJ45V) is compatible with published versions of Get Console.

Cisco “Prime” and Cisco “Plug and Play” are mobile applications used in conjunction with Cisco Prime Infrastructure management software.

Redpark TTL Serial Cable simplifies connections to Arduino

Redpark is now shipping its TTL Serial Cable that connects iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to Arduino and other devices with a TTL serial interface. The Serial Cable is one meter long and has a 6-pin connector. it is designed for use with iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2, and iPad.

The TTL Serial Cable is used in conjunction with a Redpark serial communications (RSC) library. Together these tools enable developers to write iOS apps that communicate with serial devices.

The Redpark GPS Cable is a one meter long cable with a male DB-9 connector. It is designed for use with navigation devices that use the NMEA 0183 communications protocol.

Redpark Console Cable Connects iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to Cisco Routers

Offers Field Engineers a portable and powerful Cisco router management solution

Redpark Product Development today announced it is now shipping a Console Cable that connects iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to console ports on Cisco routers, switches and firewalls. The Console Cable is a six foot long serial cable with RJ-45 connector, wired per Cisco specifications, and made for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch (second, third and fourth generation) and iPad.

To use the Console Cable, users must also download the Get Console App from the App Store, a universal app available for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

The Console Cable, along with the Get Console App, allows field engineers to perform router maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster recovery operations directly on the Cisco console port using their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. The Get Console App features detailed logging, configuration repository, command and keyboard shortcuts and optional console sharing with remote web users.
